We made it halfway through our year!! Can you believe that?? Is it me or does it seem like time is flying by??
Alright guys, let’s have a chat. Did you make resolutions at the beginning of the year?
What were they? Are you making progress on them? Is this where you thought you would be at this time for your resolutions?
I know some people make New Year’s Resolutions and some don’t. I do. I actually take any chance I can get to set goals for myself and to look at where I have been, whether it be for a birthday, anniversary, or New Years.
For me, so far this year, Koru Life Coaching has launched! Probably my number one priority when 2022 began. I am blogging and writing articles weekly, even though it’s not consistently 3 times a week. I did think I would have a couple videos made, a course ready to launch, and posting more regularly on social media. Not bad progress though for an endeavor that I knew nothing about. I’m proud of where Koru Life Coaching is currently at and excited about its future.
I always make resolutions on improving myself that include reading and finding classes to take. So far this year, I have read Boundary Boss by Terri Cole, I Hear You by Michael Sorensen, and listened to How To Be Yourself by Ellen Hendricksen and You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero. Mike and I are currently listening to Emotional Agility by Susan David.
I also like listening to podcasts on my morning drive to work for an extra couple minutes of learning. Some of my favorites include: EnRich Your Soul with Rich Bracken, Deep Chats Podcast with Leah Morris and Jennifer Butler, 2 HotWives-A Girls Guide to Unconventional Sex with Ams and Kat, Found My Fitness with Dr. Rhonda Patrick, and Book Your Dream Clients Podcast with Lindsay Maloney. Looking back at this list, I feel pretty good that I am fulfilling my goal of improving myself and will continue this until the end of the year.
At the beginning of this year, Mike and I were in a growth spurt. We weren’t seeing eye to eye and we were fighting about everything. It wasn’t fun, but it gave me another goal to work on. I can happily report back that we are doing better and our relationship has improved. I think that came from me setting better boundaries and improving my communication with him.
Now it’s your turn, look back at the first half of 2022 and tell me where you stand? Are you happy with your progress? Did you think you would be at a different place?
At this midway point of 2022, I am happy with the progress I have made and still have some growth to make before the end of the year including posting more regularly, launching my first course, and continuing to improve my relationships.
Now, I challenge you to take control of the second half of this year and reach your goals. I want you to write a letter to yourself that you can open on New Year’s Eve. In this letter, tell yourself how proud and excited you are that you reached your goals and describe them in detail. Talk about relationship goals you have, talk about personal goals, talk about the joy it brings you accomplishing them.
Once you write this letter, tuck it away in a safe place so you can pull it out and read it. Then drop me a line on social media or email Steph@KoruLifeCoaching.com and tell me about your goals! I would love to hear about them and encourage you along the way.
